Rainer Böhm, Norbert Scholly. Juvenile

A duo is a rather unusual format because it doesn't allow for singling out a leader or an outsider. Members of a good musical tandem treat each other as equals; they reach absolute consensus and maintain an almost telepathic contact.

Rainer Böhm and Norbert Scholly are a great example of a typical top-class duo. The German musicians have known each other for about ten years, and have played together many times in various bands. Their joint project was conceived three years ago, debuting with the album "Juvenile."

The record mostly features the musicians' own music, with the exception of the last track. Compositions stand out for their harmonic and melodic structure, as well as the diversity of rhythms. "El Cielo" captivates listeners with its subtle Latin American tinge, and "Dance in Seven" boasts unique inner dramatic effect and authentic drive.

The album "Juvenile" is an outstanding example of subtle and intelligent chamber jazz music, in which the piano and the guitar hear and support each other.
